New Golf Complex in Bulgaria's Sea Resort Balchik Hosts Tournament

The new golf complex Lighthouse Golf Resort & Spa located close to Bulgaria's Black Sea resort town of Balchik is hosting the Mercedes-Benz Open Tournament, which started on Friday.
Over 80 golfers from Bulgaria and from abroad are taking part in the tournament, during which the guests were able to see a presentation of the first compact SUV in the Mercedes-Benz family - GLK-Class.
The official opening of the Lighthouse Golf Resort & Spa is planned for May 2009. A total of EUR 70 M will be invested in the complex by the investor Lighthouse Golf Resort, whose main shareholder is the engineering firm Barrage Complect Single Person Ltd.
The total area of the golf course is 1000 decares, and it is located on a coastal plateau overlooking the Black Sea. The course has eighteen holes. The complex itself includes five residential quarters, a five-star hotel with covered and open pools, a spa and wellness center, a tennis court, restaurants and commercial establishments.
