Bulgaria Interior Ministry Receves EUR 13,6 M for New Fire Trucks
|
The Bulgarian interior Ministry is slated to receive EUR 13,6 M from the European Union's operational program "Regional Development" to purchase 42 brand new fire trucks.
The Deputy Ministers of Regional Development Iskra Radeva and of Interior Affairs, Raif Mustafa are going to sign Tuesday a frame agreement for the operational program between the two ministries.
The official signing is taking place at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Wokrs. Asen Gagauzov, Regional Minister and Mihail Mikov, Interior Minister are also among the participants in the ceremony.
The program's execution has a start date of December 15, 2008. The goal of the EU program is to limit fires, prevent risks and life and property damages from fires in urban areas by the provision of modern firefighting equipment.
